Our Made in the USA leatherhead flat head axes are drop forged with all American produced high carbon steel. These hand tools are perfect for ventilation, forcible entry, or overhaul. Each axe head is bonded to the fiberglass with a two part apoxy, creating an almost unbreakable bond between handle and head. The neck of the handle (closest to the tool head) is covered in a heavy duty polypropylene stripe guard. This protects the handle from constant abuse near the head and prevents chipping or abrasion. The handle is constructed with Hi-Viz pultruded fiberglass with non-slip grip surface and features a textured non-slip fawns foot handle for easy grip, even in a gloved hand.
