Six inch horizontal pvc dry hydrant strainer with brass back flush cover. The horizontal back flush is the preferred strainer which allows the pvc line to be back flushed. Debris that enters from roadside hydrant fitting opening can be removed by reverse flushing the line into the water source. The back flush flap will open to aid in releasing debris. Back flush flap is drawn closed during suction operation. Install so that flap hangs down due to gravity. Requires a 6 inch double female PVC coupling for attachment to 6 inch PVC pipe.
This strainer is installed with the strainer holes facing down.
