While gauges are not included, the diffuser integrates pressure measurement ports for easy gauge attachment. This Made in the USA system ensures reliable operation, with recommended discharge rates of 455.1 to 1195.5 GPM per 1-7/8 inch waterway, making it essential for fire safety professionals.

Help Me Connect

  • Firehose Connection: The female ends of 2 1/2 inch diameter firehoses connect to the source being tested and into the Couplings on the Riptide Diffuser. Ensure connections are water tight.
  • Gauge Connection: A gauge(not included) attaches to the pressure measurement port on each Waterway using the provided Street 90° Quick Connect configuration.
  • Waterway Installation: Each Waterway slides into its Receiver. To install, depress the Red Safety Button on the Pin Lock, pull the Black Knob away from the Waterway, slide the Waterway in, and twist clockwise until it stops and the Pin Lock engages. The pressure measurement port should point straight up.
  • Stacking and Compatibility: The Riptide ALX Pitotless Diffuser features an integrated stacking system, allowing for authorized stacking configurations with up to three Single Action Riptide diffusers or two of any other Riptide diffuser combination. Riptide ALX and Riptide Pitotless ALX diffusers may never be placed underneath a legacy steel Riptide when stacking.
