Description

This 316 Stainless Steel Type "A" Quick Disconnect adapter features a 2 inch male camlock (Cam & Groove) on one end and 2 inch female NPT threads on the other. It connects a 2 inch female camlock to a 2 inch male National Pipe Tapered (NPT) fitting, such as PVC or metal pipe. Designed for quick, leak-free hose connections, it offers a maximum operating pressure of 250 PSI. Its stainless steel construction is suitable for use with salt water, waste water, many chemicals, hydraulic oil, and coolants, across various industrial applications. Do not use for compressed air or steam.

NPT: National Pipe Tapered is common in plumbing and some industrial uses. Sometimes referred to as pipe thread because PVC pipe and schedule 40 pipe are typically threaded in NPT. As its name implies this is a tapered thread so that the outside diameter of the male (ODM) gets smaller towards the end of the fitting and the inside diameter of the female narrows with depth. As the two fittings are threaded together the opposite tapers force thread friction and makes the seal without the use of a gasket.

  • To make a connection, simply slide the camlock adapter into the camlock coupling and with normal hand pressure, press the cam levers down.
  • Uncoupling is as quick and simple as coupling. Just lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.
